Intellectual Property: What’s your IP and how do you protect it?
Liz Lenjo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She specializes in Intellectual Property (IP) Law, Entertainment Law, Media Law and Fashion Law. She is a co-owner and Managing Partner of a boutique legal services firm, Kikao Law.
Liz recently completed her Master of Laws in Intellectual Property (IP) Law at the prestigious University of Turin, Italy in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization Academy (WIPO Academy). The program is highly competitive and only admits 40 participants every year from all over the world. Liz is also Counsel for US Intellectual Property Law and Media Law Firm Randazza Legal Group, which has offices in Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, Hartford and Philadelphia.
Liz is an avid writer on her website Liz Lenjo’s Law where she shares about intellectual property law matters for the creative industries in plain English – no legalese. The purpose of this is to make the law more practical to individuals and companies engaging in the creative industries as businesses.
She began it as a blog in 2010 under www.lizlenjo.elimisha.us; and subsequently moved to the domain name www.lizlenjo.com. The website has since received two nominations for “Best Topical Blog” by the Bloggers Association of Kenya scooping positions 2 & 3 respectively in 2014 and 2015.
Liz’s LLM Research Paper on “Inspiration versus Expiration: Traditional Cultural Expressions at the Hem of the Fashion Industry” will be published and released soon by the renowned Marquette Intellectual Property Law Journal.

Lydia is a seasoned and accomplished tax advocate and consultant with over seven (7) years’ experience in Tax and Regulatory Services with Ernst & Young, and KPMG. She has served both local and international clients. Lydia has considerable experience in offering tax consultancy on various tax heads such as transfer pricing, corporation tax, personal taxes, withholding taxes and indirect taxes to a diversified client portfolio.
Lydia has also participated in tax planning and tax risk management for various clients to help them structure their business operations in a tax e client manner. In addition, she has assisted in resolving disputes with the Revenue Authority both at the Alternative Dispute Resolution and at the Tribunal.
Her experience in cross border taxes cuts across East Africa where she has been offering Transfer Pricing services in the region. Further, she offers tax consultancy services in South Sudan.
